Midnight Looms is back on air after a big break. We needed that. But it’s great to be back on this JOURNEY-BY-DJ FOR ADVENTUROUS LATE-NIGHT MUSIC LOVERS. What an amazing artist we have with us to kick off this triumphant return to the airwaves. Their name is Dan Monkman. They were shortlisted for last years POLARIS MUSIC PRIZE. They make SHOEGAZE from an INDIGENOUS point of view. A sound that they describe as “MOCCASIN GAZE”. They call their act ZOON and we are so excited to have them inside our PLAYDEAD CULT studio space to chat about the decade-long journey of recovery that led to their amazing album, BLEACHED WAVVES.
Our host, GOBS, gets your warmed up and ready with a set of shiny NEW POST PUNK and POST GRUNGE, from BORIS, CHASTITY, FUCKED UP, POM POKO, SHAM FAMILY and TANYA TAGAQ, as well as a DOUBLE KILL of KEVIN DREW.
